Profielnorm announces construction of new 5,000m2 manufacturing facility in Plainwell, Michigan
Plainwell, Michigan – 7 May 2025 – Profielnorm, a leading designer, manufacturer, and installer of mezzanines made of cold-formed beams, is proud to announce the official start of construction on its new 5,000m2 manufacturing facility in Plainwell, Michigan. This strategic investment marks a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion, reinforcing its commitment to serving customers across the United States with enhanced speed, efficiency, and local expertise.
Following its expansion into the United States in January 2023 with the establishment of Profielnorm USA, the company has operated from a commercial office in Kalamazoo. And with success: in 2024, Profielnorm shipped over 100 containers of its trademark cold-formed mezzanines across the Atlantic. The new factory represents a major next step, enabling Profielnorm to meet growing demand while bringing production closer to its American customers.

Construction is now underway, with heavy machinery preparing the site in Plainwell. The factory is expected to be operational by mid-2026, creating new employment opportunities and establishing a fully localized production and installation team.
Profielnorm currently operates two factories in the Netherlands and one in the United Kingdom, with a long-established sales and engineering hub in Poland. The Plainwell facility will be its first manufacturing site in the United States, further strengthening its global footprint.
